Our philosophy
A good design is timeless and a good planting plan strengthens the design. It is not only about creativity in making beautiful combinations, it is also about knowledge of planting and maintenance. Applying the right plant in the right place makes a design a success. This requires a lot of assortment knowledge about the requirements that plants have in terms of moisture, soil type, light and how they develop. Buro Mien Ruys has both aspects in-house: the best designers and decades of experience and expertise in the field of planting.
Expertise
Up-to-date knowledge of paving materials and planting ranges is essential for creating a good design. We closely monitor developments in materials and planting. With our years of experience and expertise in the field of garden and landscape architecture, modern techniques and pragmatic approach, we are able to efficiently provide concrete answers to all your spatial issues.
Craft
Designing starts with finding the right shape. We see giving shape to space as the core of our work. Designing also has a craft character for us. We sketch by hand and work out designs on the drawing board. Of course, we combine this with the latest techniques. We also work out our plans digitally, in both 2D and 3D.

A compact and enthusiastic team forms the heart of our office. Our designers are ambitious and quality-conscious, sometimes a bit quirky but always people-oriented. That's how we make the difference in our projects and services.
In addition to dedicated designers, our team consists of experienced landscape architects, planting experts, project managers, site managers, work planners and supervisors.
Our approach
