The new building for the youth psychiatry department at AMC Amsterdam presents a closed exterior and features a small, green interior. The residential buildings have nine courtyards. Each patio is shared by two or three residential groups.

All living groups have a terrace in the sun and Shade, a playground, and a nursery. Despite this busy schedule, they are tranquil green spaces. In spring, the cherry trees bloom with white blossoms. In summer, the trees provide shade. In autumn and winter, neatly trimmed beech hedges and graceful grasses define the landscape.
