Renovation of Holiday Park De Nollen
Beautiful camping spots, an attractive recreational area, sustainable, circular and green packaging... Proud of the new entrance area at Holiday Park De Nollen in Callantsoog!

Holiday park De Nollen in Callantsoog is surrounded by nature and close to the beach, a beautiful place to camp! Prommenz, in close collaboration with Buro Mien Ruys, was commissioned by the holiday park to design a redesign of part of the campsite. The area where permanent mobile homes were located had to make way for camping spots. In addition, there was a desire to make the recreational area more attractive.
Thanks to the creative vision of our landscape designer Evy Blom and the technical expertise of our Infra colleagues Jack de Bruin and Karoline Doorman, we have drawn up a preliminary and definitive design.
The draft design takes into account a number of fixed elements, such as the main building, sanitary building and underground containers. By shifting the roadway, a loop is created around the caretaker's house. This frees up space at the front of the restaurant, creating a lot of space for the playground equipment. Several parking spaces have been created along the roadway for visitors who come to register at the reception. Visitors then drive through the barriers into the park.
The current camper places could be retained in this way and can even be expanded by 1 place in the future. Thanks to the smart solutions within this design, a large area has been created that is now intended for recreation, play and entertainment.
The whole is wrapped in green, creating more shelter and decoration. The terrace has also been enlarged, creating more connection with the playground and the front of the park. This makes the recreation more visible from the public space and a passer-by can walk in more easily.

Circular paving
When choosing the paving, we focused on circularity. All existing paving was reused. For the extra surface, which was created by the new design, new yellow stretcher layers and yellow and black chippings in a playful pattern were chosen. With thanks to Boos Bestratingen from Wervershoof for carrying out the groundwork and paving.
Natural green environment
For the planting, a variation of perennial plant combinations and local trees with beach grass was chosen, which creates a natural and varied green environment. The planting needs about a year to fully develop, but the contours are already clearly visible.
Implementation of green and planting plan: Brown Green Provision.
