Strengthening of Prommenz Group management
Room for a new direction!
This year, we have made a fresh start with the Prommenz Group. A new course as the foundation for sustainable growth, strengthened collaboration, and a recognizable identity. To realize our ambitions, we have strengthened the management team as of September 1st. Willem Koning has been appointed General and Commercial Director, Richard Smallegange as Operations Director, and Joost Vonderbank as Financial Director.
Foppe Timmer and Martijn Nanninga will remain fully involved with the Prommenz Group as founders and owners. They will focus on the ambitions and further growth of the organization and support the management with their knowledge and experience in an advisory role.
Prommenz has undergone tremendous development over the past 15 years. From a small firm to an integrated consultancy and engineering firm with all services under one roof. We bring people together in the living environment. We do this with a fresh perspective on space and always guided by our core values: people-oriented, solution-oriented, and connecting. Willem, Richard, and Joost know the organization well and, each drawing on their own expertise and a shared sense of responsibility, give substance to this vision and new strategic direction, which was already presented internally earlier this year. A strong foundation to continue building the future of our organization together!
After the addition of Smit Groenadvies (2021) and Buro Mien Ruys (2023) made the acquisition of SAS Steel Consultancy Schagen and Hollands Kroon Architecture (formerly IRG) will make our range of services even more complete in 2026. Prommenz Groep is active in the fields of Infrastructure, Spatial Planning & Development, Environment, Surveying, Ecology, Green Consultancy, Garden and Landscape Design, Structural Consultancy & Design, and Architecture. From the engineering of a complete new residential area to design and advice for a green outdoor space, Prommenz has it all!

About Prommenz Group
Prommenz was founded in 2011 by Martijn Nanninga and Foppe Timmer. It started at De Witte Paal in Schagen with the fields of Spatial Planning, Infrastructure, and Development. The fields of Survey (measurement) and Environment soon followed. In 2018, Prommenz moved to De Harmenkaag, a larger building with more growth opportunities. In 2021, Smit Groenadvies was added to the organization, followed by Buro Mien Ruys, a garden and landscape architecture firm, in 2023. To make our services even more comprehensive, SAS Staalkundig Adviesbureau Schagen and IRG Ingenieursbureau Rijnders & De Groot (Hollands Kroon Architecture) were added to the Prommenz Group in 2026. In 2025, we entered into a partnership with Kaandorp Wijnker (sustainable energy and climate control); this company is not part of the Prommenz Group.
Prommenz Groep is therefore active in the fields of Infrastructure, Spatial Planning & Development, Environment, Surveying, Ecology, Green Consultancy, Garden and Landscape Design, Architectural Consultancy & Design, and Architecture. Sometimes designs by Mien Ruys pop up unexpectedly in the news. This time in the North Holland daily newspaper and The Telegraaf. It concerns a special villa on the Provincialeweg in Zaandam, which is currently for sale on Funda.
