Working visit to gardens
It is always fun to see our designs come to life! This summer, our landscape architects, designers and supervisors went on a working visit to gardens of various clients to see the result after the construction and/or renovation of the gardens. This allowed us to reflect, see and learn together what works well in practice and what could be improved.

Working visit
This summer, our landscape architects, designers and supervisors went on a working visit to gardens of various clients to view the results after the construction and/or renovation of the gardens. This allowed us to reflect, see and learn together what works well in practice and what could be improved.
For example, we visited Revaleiland in the Houthavens of Amsterdam to view the inner garden/roof garden of Woonstichting Lieven de Key. Organic shapes, lots of greenery and elements such as a raised planter, hedges, A terrace with picnic benches and space for fitness ensure a pleasant and peaceful living environment in this design.
Our colleague Ruud Boon also gave a presentation to the residents of the Anton Peters- and Anthony Spatzierhof in Amsterdam. In this presentation he explained the designs for the renovation of the gardens in the courtyards of 'Bluebanddorp', a design that Smit Groenadvies made together with Buro Mien Ruys on behalf of Ymere. The first garden of the five courtyards was recently constructed. The four other courtyards are still in the engineering phase and will follow later this year.
